Fall is golf outing season across the I/DD community, and this year's calendar is packed with events benefiting agencies in the Hudson Valley and on Long Island. Independent Group Home Living, Crystal Run Village Foundation, East End Disability Associates, New Horizons Resources, and The Arc Greater Hudson Valley Foundation are all hosting tournaments between mid-September and late October. IGHL's 36th Annual Golf Outing: Monday, September 14th, 2026

Hosted by: Independent Group Home Living (IGHL)

Supports: residential, day habilitation, and family support programs

IGHL has provided services to people with intellectual disabilities across Suffolk County for over 40 years. Its annual golf outing at the prestigious Westhampton Country Club is one of the community's most beloved events, and the funds raised go directly toward IGHL's residential, day habilitation, and family support programs.

The Annual Jim Lawler Classic: Tuesday, September 29th, 2026

Hosted by: Crystal Run Village Foundation

Location: West Hills Country Club, 121 Golf Links Road, Middletown, NY

Supports: the Arts Program of ADAPT of the Hudson Valley

Named for James "Jim" Lawler, this tournament honors his legacy with a full day on the course. Registration and breakfast begin at 8:30 AM, followed by a 10:00 AM shotgun start and a BBQ lunch at the turn. The day wraps up with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and an awards ceremony from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.

Individual golfer spots start at $250, and sponsorship packages are available up to $15,000.

EEDA Golf Outing: Monday, October 5th, 2026

Hosted by: East End Disability Associates (EEDA)

Location: Westhampton Country Club

Supports: programs serving over 750 individuals across the East End of Long Island

East End Disability Associates has served people with developmental disabilities on the East End of Long Island since 1992. The organization was founded by parents who believed every person deserves access to quality education, medical care, and community life.

The Catskill Cup / Bill Volpe Golf Tournament: Tuesday, October 20th, 2026

Hosted by: The Arc Greater Hudson Valley Foundation

Sullivan County's beloved annual tournament is heading to Orange County for the first time this year. Registration runs from 8:30 to 10:00 AM, and the tournament features prize flights for Championship and Second Flight.

Registration is $345 per player and covers greens, cart, breakfast, lunch, dinner, open bar, beverages on the course, t-shirts, balls, tees, and more.

New Horizons Resources' 42nd Annual Invitational Golf Tournament: Wednesday, October 21st, 2026

New Horizons Resources has been a staple in the community for decades, and its annual Invitational is one of the most anticipated events of the year. Check-in starts at 9:00 AM with a shotgun tee-off at 10:00 AM and lunch at the turn. A cocktail hour runs from 3:00 to 4:00 PM, followed by dinner, a raffle, and prizes from 4:00 to 5:00 PM.

Registration is $300 per player and includes continental breakfast, lunch, golf, cocktail hour, and dinner. Dinner-only tickets are available for $100.
