Taking the Leap for Autism—Why It Matters to All of Us
If you’ve ever met our CEO, Angelo Angerame, you know he doesn’t do things halfway. So when he committed to the 9th Annual LEAP for Autism event, he signed up to do something big: jump out of a plane.
On May 3rd, Angelo will skydive in support of Greystone Programs, a nonprofit dedicated to serving individuals with autism and intellectual or developmental disabilities. It’s not just about adrenaline. It’s about showing up in a bold way for a cause that means something to all of us.
LEAP for Autism raises critical funding for expressive arts programs like music, art therapy, dance, yoga, and even equine therapy. These aren’t just nice-to-haves. They’re experiences that help people communicate, connect, and build confidence. They create moments of joy and expression that can be life-changing.
At Hudson Regional LTC Pharmacy, we see the impact of programs like this every day. We serve organizations where these therapies aren’t just helpful—they’re essential. We’ve seen the way someone lights up during music therapy, or how an art class can give someone a way to express what they can’t always say. These experiences matter, and they’re made possible through events like this one.
If you’re wondering how to get involved, you don’t have to jump out of a plane to make a difference. You can donate, share the campaign with others, or join us at the event in Gardiner, NY. There will be live music, crafts, virtual reality experiences, and a whole lot of heart. Every dollar raised goes toward creating more opportunities, more joy, and more growth for people who deserve it.
Angelo might be taking the leap solo, but this is something we do together—as a community. Let’s support this incredible cause and help create a world where everyone has the chance to shine.
