Every year, our team looks forward to one of the most spirited traditions in our community: the Hudson Regional Ugly Sweater Contest. It brings out the creativity, humor, and togetherness that make the holiday season memorable for the residents and teams we serve. The 2025 contest is officially underway, and we cannot wait to see the entries that come in.

Last year, the Woodbourne House from the Arc of the Greater Hudson Valley earned well-deserved recognition for their incredible group effort. Their coordinated designs and holiday spirit showed exactly what makes this tradition so fun. They were joined by standout participants including Benny B. and two feathery friends, Cleopetra and Chickie Minaj, who proved that festive style comes in all forms. Their win was celebrated with a Pizza Party hosted by CEO Angelo Angerame, a favorite reward that always adds to the excitement.

This contest is more than a display of bold sweaters. It is an opportunity for teams to collaborate and share a moment of lighthearted celebration. Facilities bring out their most imaginative ideas with lights, textures, handcrafted designs, and themes that reflect the joy of the season. Each year, entries remind us that community spirit thrives when people come together and have fun.

Submissions are open until December 10, and winners will be showcased in the December & January issues. The top facility will once again receive a Pizza Party to celebrate their achievement. We love seeing the dedication, teamwork, and warmth that each group brings to their entry. It continues to be a tradition that highlights how meaningful moments of joy and connection can be.
